Black Lives Matter

We at Lily Trotters feel it is important to put out a formal statement outlining where we stand on Black lives matter: Black lives matter.

For the time being, we will be halting our public presence and focusing on sharing the resources we are turning to for learning about, reflecting on, or donating to racial justice - see below. To the Black women who are part of our community, know that we love you and value you, and we are here to support you in any way we can. To our non-Black community members, we are asking you to join us in learning and acting - have the hard conversations with us, and hold us accountable for being anti-racism allies every single day.

We are a very small team, but one that is committed to diversity and inclusion. As we grow, we promise to center diversity as a core value and support a team that reflects the community we serve. We want this family to be a space where all are welcomed, seen, and heard.

Immediately, we will be donating to the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, and Baltimore Youth Arts. We encourage you to do the same, or research local nonprofits in your cities and home towns that are supporting this vital work.

Black lives matter.

In peace, love, and commitment to justice -

Susan + The Lily Trotters Team
