New Winter Running Gear: Give Yourself the Motivation to Run in the Cold

There are a million excuses for skipping out on your running schedule this winter. It's really cold out, your bed is warm, and it gets dark so darn early. But, if you can muster the motivation to stick with your running routine this winter, you'll be rewarded with more energy and the satisfaction of staying in shape all year long.

One of our favorite ways to motivate ourselves to lace up when it's cold outside? New gear. When we're excited to sport our new running gear, those winter runs feel a lot warmer.

Here's some gear that we're excited to rock this winter.

Skhoop Insulated Skirt

These seriously warm skirts are meant to go over your running tights when you need a little extra insulation. The best part is that they're thin and can easily be stuffed into a jacket pocket for easy, on-the-go storage. We love this stylish touch to our winter getup.

Sweaty Betty Peak Ski Base Layer

u're not already familiar with Sweaty Betty, you're going to want to check them out. This brand is bringing fun fashion to the track, streets, woods, and treadmill, while using high-quality, breathable fabrics. Who says base layers have to be one boring color? We love the mountain print on this one.

Adidas Ultimate Warm Tights

The Ultimate Warm Tights from Adidas are a nice combination of airy and insulated. We find it much easier to get going on our runs when it's not painfully cold to start, and these running tights keep our legs comfy.

Thermopolis LT Ruched Beanie

Keeping your head warm is essential to keeping the rest of your body warm. We love the ruched detail and the pony tail opening on this beanie from Thermopolis.

Lily Trotters Compression Socks

But, of course. Your Lily Trotters Compression Socks are an all-weather companion for increased circulation and comfort. In the wintertime, they also offer extra warmth. Wear them over your tights for some stylish insulation against the cold weather. If you're a shorts-in-the winter runner, your compression socks offer just enough warmth without any bulk.

Stay warm out there and we'll see you on the trail!
