Men Love Kisses, too – how wearing Lily Trotters compression socks for traveling changed my life.

As fundraising consultant, I spend a lot of time on the road.  If you aren’t traveling, then you aren’t working.

Recently, my work took me first to Israel and then to Dimapur, India.

Because I had a little cardiac scare last year, I made an appointment with my doctor to make sure International travel would not be an issue.  It was my doctor who strongly recommended wearing compression socks for traveling and avoiding alcohol.

So, after talking to a friend who knew about Lily Trotters, I went online to order a pair.  At first, I thought “are these just made for women?’ But the folks at Lily Trotters know how to market and they offer a few options that really appeal to guys like me. Their ‘Totally Solid’ line of, well, solid colors are perfect in black or French Blue. And, they have a sock they call ’Four Kisses’ that is simply a black sock with four grey Xs at the ankle. I like its’ conservative design, and, heck, I like kisses, too!

I live in Pittsburgh so any transatlantic travel always begins with a flight to New York and then, if you are lucky, a minimum three-to-four wait before boarding the international flight.

The day I flew to Israel I put on my Lily Trotters at 8:00 a.m. and arrived at my hotel in Jerusalem 18 hours later.

Wearing is believing!  Not only did my legs and feet feel great during the long trip but my feet also stayed warm.

Two months later, I was off to Dimapur which is in the far Northeastern part of India - 8,000 miles from home.   To get there I flew from Pittsburgh to New York, New York to Delhi, Delhi to Kolkata and finally Kolkata to Dimapur.  Total travel time was over 36 hours.

Once again, my Lily Trotters came through.  The rest of me was feeling pretty raggedy, but my legs and feet were still in great shape.

This is a quality product worth of every penny of the purchase price.

For domestic travel, I will drive and avoid air travel as much I can.  It wasn’t hard to figure out that if Lily Trotters work for long international flights, they will work equally well on long car rides.

This Christmas, do yourself and anyone you love who travels a lot a favor.  Buy a couple pairs of Lily Trotters compression socks for travel.  They might just save your legs, too – plus, they make a great gift.

My Lilly Trotters got me through Europe

I got my first pair of Lilly Trotters for my airplane ride to Europe – I was concerned about blood clots – Been paranoid ever since the late 80’s when a certain vice president got one on an International trip— So, I bought a pair on the internet and tried them on, then I tried on my Lilly Trotters,, WOWZA, what a difference quality makes, it was like test driving a mule then riding a Mercedes. ( If only “you know who” had had a pair)

Wearing them walking around on cobblestones older than dirt and uneven sidewalks made such a difference in my feet, and legs—It allowed me to shop even longer—Gotta love that!
